About the event
Founded in 2003 by composer, producer and DJ Gabriel Prokofiev, nonclassical has supported hundreds of artists in the UK throughout its history, working across contemporary classical, experimental and electronic music.
At the heart of the celebrations is this concert, which shines a light on six composers from nonclassical AiR, its artist-in-residence programme.
While the Purcell Room event officially starts at 7pm, nonclassical invites you to arrive early to start your concert experience with an exploration of a free installation in the Queen Elizabeth Hall Foyer.
Conceived and performed by Simon Knighton, nonclassical’s 2021-23 artist-in-residence, it features a series of sound sculptures exploring how acoustic and electronically-generated sounds interact.
You are also invited to the post-concert after party to continue the celebration with DJ sets.
